With all of this experience already under her belt, Christina truly found her big break at age fifteen when she played Kelly Bundy on ‘ Married… With Children .’ Her role as Kelly Bundy would last for eleven seasons, and lead to several wins at award shows. As she continued to take on roles in new exciting projects, the award wins and nominations would continue to roll in for a variety of roles. Some of these awards are for her roles in ‘ Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead ’ and ‘ Jesse .’ To this day, Christina Applegate continues to find herself in award-winning roles.

Christina Applegate’s Broadway Debut

Christina Applegate made her broadway debut in 2004 when she joined the ‘ Sweet Charity ’ production as Charity Hope Valentine. Her time on the Broadway show would bring her a few Broadway award nominations, including her nomination for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Christina’s early experiences on the Broadway show would be challenging as she broke her foot in the pre-Broadway engagements, but luckily she would make it back because the show must go on, of course.

Christina completed her time as Charity Hope Valentine in ‘Sweet Charity’ and has since mentioned in interviews that her time on the Broadway production was enriching even though it proved to be extremely challenging at times. Christina found meaning in the importance and challenges of performing in front of a live audience and continued to take on more popular roles that people know her for today.

Returning to Television

Christina Applegate made her return to television in 2007 when she landed a role in the award-winning sitcom ‘ Samantha Who? ’ The television show lasted two seasons, and it was an excellent way for Christina to make her way back to the television screens. Following ‘Samantha Who?’ Christina landed a role in ‘ Up All Night ,’ also lasting two seasons, with co-star Will Arnett which followed the story of two parents handling the struggles of having a newborn. With both television shows coming to an end, Christina shifted her focus to film.

Following her various roles from ‘Samantha Who?’ to ‘ Bad Moms ,’ Christina landed a role on the Netflix Original ‘ Dead to Me ,’ which is personally one of my favorite Netflix Originals ever. Christina plays one of the main characters in the dark comedy, and she does so well playing Jen Harding. I am convinced the role was meant for her. Her co-star in ‘Dead to Me,’ Linda Cardellini , plays her best friend and, really, partner-in-crime, and they, without a doubt, make the fantastic show ‘Dead to Me’ has become. ‘Dead to Me’ is still releasing seasons, which you can find on Netflix, so I definitely recommend you check it out; it’s pretty amazing.

Christina’s Many Film Roles

As mentioned above, Christina has starred in a variety of movies over the years and recently. In the early 2000’s Christina landed several popular roles that she is still known for today. For example, she starred in ‘ View From the Top ,’ a flight attendant comedy with Gwyneth Paltrow in 2003. She also landed a role in Will Ferrell’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy ’ and found herself next to the actor again in ‘ Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues .’ In 2015 and 2016, viewers saw her in popular comedies ‘ Vacation ’ and ‘ Bad Moms ,’ where her comedy and acting skills shined throughout.

She also took a shot at voice-acting as she had voice parts in the children’s movie series ‘ Alvin and the Chipmunks ’ and another film ‘ The Book of Life .’ Christina has truly proved her overall skills and abilities as an actor, voice actor, Broadway star, and more over the years. It is interesting to consider how she once starred in television commercials as a child and now is a successful actress constantly starring in something new. Her journey as an actress is inspiring for many, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Inspirational Christina

Christina is inspiring in many ways, not only as an actress but as a person in general. Her openness and willingness to discuss her cancer journey have helped bring more awareness to the struggles and tribulations of cancer. She continues to share stories and information about her personal health journey and impact the people that look up to Christina’s ability to stay strong and bring awareness to health conditions at the same time. Her journey as an actress is also highly inspiring and also showcases her desire never to give up. The inspiring words she continues to share inspire many, and she has used her platform as a well-known actress to bring awareness to various issues.

Overall, Christina’s journey and success are entirely inspiring, and I can’t wait to see what is to come from the actress. Christina Applegate will next be seen in the television movie ‘ Your Time Is Up’ with Stacy Johnson , directed by Kathleen Robertson .

An excerpt from the love letter: The Hollywood Insider’s CEO/editor-in-chief Pritan Ambroase affirms, We have the space and time for all your stories, no matter who/what/where you are. Media/Cinema/TV have a responsibility to better the world and The Hollywood Insider will continue to do so. Talent, diversity and authenticity matter in Cinema/TV, media and storytelling. In fact, I reckon that we should announce “talent-diversity-authenticity-storytelling-Cinema-Oscars-Academy-Awards” as synonyms of each other. We show respect to talent and stories regardless of their skin color, race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc., thus allowing authenticity into this system just by something as simple as accepting and showing respect to the human species’ factual diversity. We become greater just by respecting and appreciating talent in all its shapes, sizes, and forms. Award winners, which includes nominees, must be chosen on the greatness of their talent ALONE.

I am sure I am speaking for a multitude of Cinema lovers all over the world when I speak of the following sentiments that this medium of art has blessed me with. Cinema taught me about our world, at times in English and at times through the beautiful one-inch bar of subtitles. I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc. For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society. I love the world uniting, be it for Cinema, TV, media, art, fashion, sport, etc. Please keep this going full speed.
